This is where we share our victories and our defeats. If you think you can't get involved in volunteering to work with homeless animals
because it would be too heartbreaking...then please get involved! If we all used the excuse that "I couldn't handle it" or "I'd want to take
them all home!" these dogs wouldn't have anyone.

The dogs on this page represent the "Second Stories" in the lives of these dogs. We do everything we can to help these dogs find a
second chance. There are dogs we have not been able to save. The dogs in these photos remind us of why we do this. Some remind
us that we have a long way to go.
Duke waited a long time to
find the right family, but he is
now happy in his forever home
with his new brother Brutus
the Fox Terrier.  His family
adores him and can't say
enough good about him.
When we met Hazel she was
just a wee pup. She has
grown into a petite young lady.
She lives with her brother
Horace. The two of them enjoy
walks, fashion and kitchen
adventures!
Poor Zeus found himself living
outside after a new baby
developed severe allergies.
Thankfully, he has found his
happily-ever-after. He now
lives with children, dogs, cats
and gets along great with all!
This lucky pup is Mako. He
found himself without a home,
but a wonderful family stepped
up to foster him. After a few
short days, his foster family
decided to adopt him! He lives
with his Pittie sister Karma
and is doing great!
Mae was a humane case and
needed a very special adopter.
When Scott and Nicole found
out about Mae, they dropped
everything and drove to
Pittsburgh to adopt her. She is
living her happily ever after
with her brother, Revolution.
Rev was just a pup when we
pulled him from a high kill
shelter. He is Scott and
Nicole's first Bully and they
adore him. They love the
breed so much they gave Rev
a sister and saved another life!
Polly Pocket came from a
rough start, but her sweet
nature stayed true. It took a lot
of people working together to
save this under 30pound Pit
Bull, and she was certainly
worth the work. Polly is doing
great in her new home, her
family absolutely adores her.
Ferrous was in a high risk
situation and we were lucky to
be able to rescue him. He now
lives with his sister Sofia. They
are wonderful friends and live
a pampered life with a great
friend of Hello Bully!
Sykora and Tallulah are
Pit/Lab mix sisters who were
surrendered to us by a good
samaritan who rescued them
from a local puppy peddler.
Both girls are doing well and
living active, happy lives.
Butterfly was a rescue who
was fostered by a member of
Hello Bully's board of
directors,the foster situation
turned into and adoption and
Butterfly has bloomed into a
wonderful dog.
Mogwai is doing great in his
forever home. He was a bit of
a late bloomer, but is currently
the star student in obedience
class. He shares his life with
his Pit mix sis, Sonya and cat
siblings, Lickly, Lulu and Leo!
It took many people working
together to sustain Sol during
the 2 years it took to find his
forever home. His last foster
fell in love with him and he is
happily sharing his life with
his Pit siblings, Finn and CC.
Murphy was a dog who adored
people but was highly dog
aggressive. His owners did
not neuter him, and set him up
for disaster. His story was
heartbreaking in that he never
knew love until days before his
end. We'll never forget you.
Damika grew up in the shelter.
She was a dog you couldn't
help but fall in love with. We
worked so hard with her, but
she never found a home. Rest
in Peace kiddo. You are not
forgotten.
Poppy was a big sweetheart
who deserved so much more.
He belonged to a woman
named
Chauntel Hardy, who
left him chained in her yard to
die from ingesting garbage.
We're so sorry you suffered.
Rest in Peace Poppy.
So many Pit Bulls are dying.
For those you who work for Pit
Bulls and have lost dogs you
fell in love with, we thank you
for your dedication. To the
dogs we have lost, we will
cherish your memories and
work to honor your lives.
Recent statistics show that only 1 of every 600 Pit Bulls will make it into a good home. Are you a part of the solution for these dogs?
Even if you cannot adopt a Pit Bull in need, there are many other ways you can help. Please visit the HELP link and discover ways you
can help. If you live in the Pittsburgh area, please consider sponsoring a spay or neuter package through our Pit Fix Plus program.
