THE GALA IS COMING! THE GALA IS COMING!
On Saturday, February 20th, Hello Bully will hold our second annual “Lovers Not Fighters” Gala. The fundraiser
benefits our Pit Fix Plus program, which offers free spay/neuter and vaccines to Pit Bulls in the greater Pittsburgh
area. In partnership with the Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania and Animal Friends, this program
works to reduce the overpopulation of Pit Bulls in our area and educate owners about responsible Pit Bull ownership
and basic canine health care. In 2009, the Pit Fix Program altered and vaccinated over 350 Pit Bulls.
The Gala includes very special guest speakers Florence Biros, author of Dog Jack, and the Pit Bull star of the soon-
to-be released feature film based on her book, Piglet with owner Tracy Doyle. Teal Erickson from Missouri’s
Broken Hearts, Mended Souls Rescue will also speak about her group’s involvement in the care and placement of
dogs from the nation’s largest dog fighting bust in history last summer.
Light fare and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 7:30pm-8:30pm, with dessert to follow. There will be White
Diamond Vodka drink specials. Raffle and live auction items include sports memorabilia, fine and custom art, a week
long trip to Orlando, gift certificates from local eateries and attractions and many fun and unique items for dogs and
their owners.
The fundraiser is from 7pm-Midnight at the Red Star Tavern at Bar Louie in Station Square, 240 Station Square
Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Tickets are available at www.hellobully.com for $50 singles and $75 couples. VIP
packages are available.
