AN ADOPT-A-BULL UPDATE
Ali was a dog who came to Hello Bully by way of our Pit Fix Plus program. After getting him neutered and up to date
on his vaccines, our behavior team evaluated his temperament for placement. Although Ali needed to brush up on his
manners, he had the kind of temperament that Pit Bulls are famous for - he was smart, tenacious and absolutely
adored people.

We began the search for Ali's home while his original owner fostered him and started him in obedience classes, where
Ali excelled. Members of Hello Bully took Ali on outings to promote him. Rachel and John even had him for sleepovers
at their house so that they could take him to events in an effort to find his forever home.

Countless times we wondered why it was that Ali hadn't found his forever family. Months passed. We posted him
everywhere online and in the Pittsburgh area. Many people remember the numerous emails and postings about Ali. We
were running out of time and without a foster home and his previous owner moving out of state, his days were
numbered.

Ali is proof that sometimes it's just a matter of waiting for that right home to come along. When we met Beth we
knew that she and Ali were a perfect match, and within a couple of weeks, Ali was in his new home. After months
and months of worrying and waiting, Ali had his happy-ever-after. Here are just a few of the beautiful photos of Ali,
along with notes from Beth. We couldn't be happier for you both!

Ali is doing great. He now sits, lays down, backs up, stands up, sits up from a laying down position, gives paw and
high five consistently. We're working on crawl, sit pretty, leave it, and picking up objects on command- he can do
all of them, and more, but sometimes he forgets. He is very smart and learns very quickly.

He is also a real character- he doesn't just sleep on my bed- he sleeps ON MY PILLOW. I finally had to get him
his own pillow but he still prefers to share mine when he can. Any time I sit down he is all over my lap or sitting
ON me or snuggled up to me like glue. The chaise lounge is now HIS chaise lounge. He loves to fluff and roll in
the blankets- and if one of his chew toys works its way under the blanket- Ali simply chooses to chew on it
THROUGH the blanket, much to my dismay.

Ali also loves his new ferret brother, Bandit. I'm sending you a photo of the time Bandit crawled in Ali's food
bowl- I nearly had a heart attack but Ali just stood there and wagged his tail. I grabbed the camera, took a quick
picture as evidence, and then grabbed the ferret, just in case. For the most part, Ali just follows Bandit around,
sniffing him . I always supervise them of course and sometimes I have to remind Ali not to nudge Bandit too hard,
we're working on the 'gentle' command, but for the most part they get along great.

I'm thinking about changing his name. If he was, in fact, named after Muhummad Ali then his name does not
suit him at all! Although he is a real heavyweight at times, Ali is more of a lover than a fighter and he needs a
name to reflect that.
